Choanoke Area Development Association, NC Inc., (CADA), a regional non-profit, seeks quotes from providers who are willing to lease CADA provided buses to assist in the transportation of preschool children.
Bertie County has been selected to receive awards under Phase 39 and Phase ARPAR (American Rescue Plan Act) of the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) National Board Program. The amount awarded is $6,122 (Phase 39) and $18,921 (Phase ARPAR) to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county.
Choanoke Area Development Association (CADA) announces its intent to apply for funding of $476,398 through the Community Service Block Grant Anti-Poverty Plan for Fiscal Year 2022 – 2023. CADA’s proposed WorkPlan for this program encompasses services to low-income residents of Bertie, Halifax, Herford, Martin and Northampton Counties. The program focuses on a self-sufficiency component to assists low-income residents obtain assistance with education, employment and supportive services to rise above federal poverty guidelines and become self-sufficient.
