Child Development Teacher 42 week – 2 Position Bertie Co., Entry: $11.39.
Must possess one of the following credentials: Graduate of a four year college with major in Child development / Early Childhood Education is desirable. Associate Degree in Children Development, Child Development Associate Credential (NAEYC) or California Pre – School Certificate. Working knowledge of good health practices. Considerable knowledge of child growth and development and planning programs to appropriately meet the physical, mental, and emotional needs of children. Ability to establish rapport with children and their parents in order to obtain information concerning needs of individual children. Ability to prepare and maintain records and reports. Ability to exercise good judgment in appraising situations and making decisions. Experience in working with pre – school children in a nursery school kindergarten, or day care facility.
Teacher Assistant 42 week. 1 Position Scotland Neck ., 2 Positions in Northampton Co. Entry $9.37.
Some experience in working with pre – school children in a nursery school, kindergarten or day care facility. Completion of the 12th grade or high school equivalent. One of the following is desired: A.A. Degree in Child Development, Child Development Associate Credential (CDA), and Early Childhood Associate Degree. Interest in and some knowledge and understanding of the needs and problems of low income or disadvantaged persons and of the community environment. Some knowledge of child growth and development theories and principles. Personal traits of warmth, sensitivity and caring toward children and families are required.
Child Development Center Manager- 1 Position Hertford Co. 48 Weeks Entry: $16.03.
Experience in working with young children preferably involving some supervisory experience. Graduation from a four year college or university preferably with a degree in early Childhood Education, child development program or extensive experience in working with young children in a pre-school, kindergarten, or day care facility; or equivalent combination of experience and training. General knowledge of child growth and development and of the programs to appropriately meet the physical, mental and social needs of children. General knowledge of techniques of organizing and planning program activities and procuring of required supplies and equipment. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with preschool children, parents and other staff member. Ability to supervise a large child development center staff. Ability to prepare and maintain records and reports. Ability to exercise good judgment in appraising situations and making decisions.
Infant Toddler Teacher - 1 Position Hertford Co. 48 Weeks Entry: $11.39.
A four year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education; or Infant/Toddler CDA with some training in public health. CNA I and II is preferred. Knowledge of child growth and development; best health practices; and programs to appropriately meet the physical, mental and social needs of children. Ability to plan appropriate activities and procure supplies and equipment. Good judgment and good record keeping are required. Must obtain a Certified Criminal Record check, training in safety issues (e.g., reducing the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and a valid NC Driver’s License. Person must be fluent in the language spoken by the majority of the families served by the program.
